A few photos from a trip to Musée de quad Branly, Paris, which houses amazing ethnographic collections, beautifully presented. Anyone interested in craft, art, sculpture and construction should visit.
Salmon skin coat, late 19th c., Russia.
Feather panel, Papua New Guinea.
One of three tall tubular panels, this might be my favourite piece from the whole museum. The constructed surface pattern was beautiful, with the lustre of the feathers creating a light-catching aesthetic.
